Ukraine proposed a new plan to the US to end the war: Zelenskyy spoke about Trump’s position

Ukraine has submitted new proposals to the American side regarding ending the war, but Kyiv expects more active US participation in the peace process. Volodymyr Zelenskyy also once again rejected the possibility of withdrawing Ukrainian troops from Donbas.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated this in an interview with CNN.

According to Zelenskyy, Kyiv has presented new proposals to the US regarding the peace process, but he did not disclose the details. At the same time, the president emphasized that the American side should more actively participate in the negotiation process.

«We need more active involvement of the American side in the peace plan. I am grateful to President Trump’s team for wanting to continue. Putin does not want to stop this war now, and there is currently insufficient pressure on him», — Zelenskyy stated.

The President of Ukraine also once again rejected the possibility of withdrawing the Armed Forces of Ukraine from Donbas in order to end the war.

At the same time, Zelenskyy emphasized that security guarantees remain a key condition for Kyiv in the process of a possible end to the war.
