Zelenskyy imposed sanctions against 13 vessels and 28 companies for the illegal export of Ukrainian grain

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree enacting the decision of the National Security and Defence Council on the application of sanctions against individuals and companies involved in the illegal export of Ukrainian grain, and the vessels involved in this.

This is stated on the website of the head of state.

The sanctions package included 13 ships flying the flags of the Russian Federation (8), Panama (3), Belize and Saint Kitts and Nevis (one each), as well as 11 Russian citizens and 28 legal entities.

«All of them are involved in the illegal export of Ukrainian grain from the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. Sanctions have also been imposed against the owners of these vessels and their captains and companies involved in the export of our grain. Ukraine will provide all necessary information to partners for the synchronization of sanctions in international jurisdictions», - emphasized in the Office of the President of Ukraine.

The President’s Commissioner for Sanctions Policy Vladyslav Vlasyuk stated that the Ukrainian side expects support from partners and hopes that they will not allow the stolen Ukrainian grain to enter their markets.
