"We’ll remove the deferment, send him to the army": Kropyva incited the police against Ivakhnenko’s debtor

The SAPO prosecutor at the HACC explained how Serhiy Kropyva used the police against a person to whom Yelyzaveta Ivakhnenko had lent money.

Kropyva asked her to file a complaint in order to “track down and arrest everything he owns.” He then outlined a plan of “revenge”:

“We’ll issue a suspicion notice, strip him of his deferment, send him to the army, and seize his property.”

At the same time, he instructed her not to mention the car’s license plate or the person’s actual address in the statement. Even an ordinary personal dispute was handled with secrecy—so the trail would not lead back to them.
