The driver of Kropyva, Serhiy Kutsyi, was taken into custody in the "Carthage" case: bail of 3 million hryvnias

The High Anti-Corruption Court imposed a preventive measure on Serhiy Kutsyi, whom the investigation refers to as the driver of Serhiy Kropyva, an employee of the Prosecutor General’s Office. The court set an alternative for him in the form of bail amounting to 3 million hryvnias.

On the NABU recordings, Kutsy appears under the pseudonym «Comrade». If bail is posted, he will be subject to a number of procedural obligations.

In particular, Kutsy must surrender his passports for foreign travel, not communicate with persons designated by the court, including Serhiy Kropyva and Yelyzaveta Ivakhnenko, and appear at every summons by the detective, prosecutor, or court.

Serhiy Kutsyi, according to the investigation, worked as a driver for Serhiy Kropyva. The High Anti-Corruption Court had previously placed Kropyva himself under arrest with an alternative bail of 120 million hryvnias.

According to the investigation, Kutsyi was a member of a criminal organization led by Kropyva. In particular, he was responsible for security during Kropyva’s trips in an official vehicle and his meetings with other people.

Also, as the investigation claims, Kutsyi used unregistered license plates, received money from persons associated with call centers, and transferred it to Kropyva.

In addition, according to law enforcement, he helped Kropyva maintain contact with other members of the organization, participated in the legalization of funds, and carried out other instructions from him.
