Suspended Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko claims that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy exerted pressure on him, which is why the suspicion against NABU head Semen Kryvonos was not signed earlier.
Kravchenko wrote about this in his post.
According to him, despite the “frantic political and media pressure,” he eventually signed the suspicion against Kryvonos, after first confirming that the evidence base was sufficient.
“The only thing I regret is that, under pressure from the president, I did not sign the suspicion much earlier,” Kravchenko stated.
He also highlighted the SAPO head’s words that anti-corruption agencies now “expect a reaction” from the president regarding the delivery of the suspicion.
Kravchenko expressed outrage at the situation in which, as he put it, the anti-corruption bodies themselves began to “cancel” suspicions against their own officials.
“The NABU head has been served with a suspicion of committing a crime strictly in accordance with procedural law. I assure you, there were and are no legal grounds for its ‘cancellation’,” the suspended Prosecutor General wrote.
Thus, Kravchenko directly linked the delay in signing the suspicion against Kryvonos to pressure from President Zelenskyy. At the same time, this remains Kravchenko’s own assertion.
