Suspect Serhiy Kropyva claims that the phrases cited in the protocols and materials of the criminal proceedings do not belong to him. He also denied ownership of the property mentioned in the suspicion.

«While reading the protocols with those phrases or excerpts from those conversations, I want to say that these phrases do not belong to me and this will be proven by relevant examinations», — Kropyva stated.

He also denied that the property described in the suspicion belongs to him.

«Worth noting that the property described in the suspicion does not belong to me at all. I have no rights to it — it belongs to other people», — the suspect said.

Separately, Kropyva emphasized his professional background and stated that he had never been involved in corruption.

«All my life as a law enforcement officer I fought evil. I have never been involved in corruption», — he stated.

Thus, Kropyva denies ownership of both the statements appearing in the case materials and the property specified in the suspicion. According to him, these circumstances should be established based on the results of relevant examinations.

Recall that NABU and SAPO are conducting a special operation to expose a criminal organization, which, according to the investigation, is led by an official of the Office of the Prosecutor General. Members of this organization are suspected of «covering» a network of fraudulent call centers and money laundering.

Earlier, in August, law enforcement conducted a large-scale special operation against fraudulent call centers across Ukraine. During 411 searches, the operation of 94 call centers was stopped and 1794 operator jobs were liquidated.

During the investigative actions, law enforcement seized over $2 million, computer equipment, phones, SIM cards, bank cards, crypto wallets, and luxury cars.
