In Kyiv, a criminal "scheme" to seize the assets of 28 enterprises, organized by a 41-year-old capital resident, was exposed. This was reported by the Department of Strategic Investigations of the National Police.

The perpetrator involved eight people as accomplices. Based on forged documents, the offenders tried to re-register corporate rights to controlled persons for subsequent sale to third parties.

According to the developed plan, the suspects provided forged notary documents for the subsequent re-registration of assets to controlled individuals. Successful implementation of the plan would have allowed the offenders to seize and further manage almost 17 million hryvnias of the total capital of the 28 enterprises.

In addition, they managed to acquire 45 land plots and 122 real estate objects that were owned by the companies. The group has been notified of the suspicion under Part 5 of Article 27, Parts 3 and 4 of Article 358 of the Criminal Code (forgery of documents, seals, stamps, and forms, sale or use of forged documents, seals, stamps).
