The Cherpytsky clan from Zhytomyr region is preparing to flee to Russia
Not waiting for the arrival of the "Russian world," the Cherpytskyi clan is preparing to move to Russia. According to rumors coming from the OPFL crowd "in the swamps," Oleh Cherpytskyi plans to open a fully legal business in the Russian Federation, which will be headed by his son, Kostyantyn Cherpytskyi.
The relocation of the Cherpytskyis to Russia is interesting not only because the money stolen from the Ukrainian people will work for the Russian economy, but there is also great concern that the Cherpytskys have a large amount of information about Ukraine’s defense complex, and all this information will soon be at the disposal of the FSB.
Brothers Oleh and Oleksandr Cherpytskyi started their "business" in the turbulent ’90s, organizing the organized crime group "Chepchiki". They specialized in robbery, racketeering, extortion, and smuggling. Oleh Cherpytskyi was put on the wanted list by the Ukrainian bureau of Interpol, which took an interest in the brothers’ activities in the Czech Republic, where they opened a brothel. Both had criminal records.
However, connections in the criminal world helped the brothers enter big politics: the Cherpytskyis reached their greatest influence when the Donetsk clan of Viktor Yanukovych came to power. Oleksandr Cherpytskyi’s first serious political position—as an advisor to the Minister of Environmental Protection of Ukraine, Vasyl Dzharty—was obtained in 2006 precisely due to criminal connections with the Donetsk clan.
In 2007, Oleh Cherpytskyi began his political career as a member of parliament from "Fatherland," from which he was expelled for cooperating with the "Party of Regions." In 2010, Oleh Cherpytskyi, along with the Party of Regions, voted for the ratification of the Kharkiv agreements, which extended the stay of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in Crimea for 25 years. Regarding this matter, in 2021, the NSDC appealed to the SSU to open a criminal case on state treason, but as we can see, Oleh Zenovych not only remained free but is also planning for the future in Russia.
However, in the context of the Cherpytskyis’ move to Moscow, the most interesting fact is that Oleksandr Cherpytskyi held the position of Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine Mykhailo Yezhel from 2010 to 2011. In August 2014, Mykhailo Yezhel was informed of suspicion in a criminal case regarding undermining the defense capability of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The former minister fled to Belarus and is currently hiding from Ukrainian justice in Minsk. As for his deputy Oleksandr Cherpytskyi, he remained in Ukraine but could very well have been carrying out certain tasks for his former boss.
Kostyantyn Cherpytskyi is the heir of the Cherpytskyi clan. Almost all of the family’s assets are registered in his name. Kostyantyn Cherpytskyi, unlike his father and uncle, has a clean record: he has not been noticed in criminal reports or in Interpol’s wanted database. Moreover, from 2012 to 2017, the younger Cherpytskyi built a career in the Tax Service. And in 2020, thanks to his father’s connections, he became a deputy of the Zhytomyr Regional Council from OPFL. It is said that Oleh Zenovych is already selecting an apartment for his son near Moscow City.
Please consider this journalistic investigation as an official appeal to the SSU with a request to conduct an investigation into the connections of Oleh and Oleksandr Cherpytskyi with the Russian special services.
