Ukraine has denied the fake news about “preparations for the surrender of Kharkiv”

Russian propagandists are spreading information that Ukraine is allegedly preparing to surrender Kharkiv. Such stuffing is fake.

This was reported by the press service of the Center for Countering Disinformation.

As the Center said, information appeared in Russian Telegram channels that the leadership of Kharkiv was “preparing to flee the city.” This is allegedly evidenced by the allocation of funds for the repair of the western exit from the settlement - roads in the Lyubotyn and Korotych area.

"Reports about the alleged ’escape’ of the city administration from Kharkiv are untrue and are an information and psychological operation of the enemy aimed at demoralising society and sowing panic," the CPD stressed.

They reminded that recently the representative of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine Vadym Skibitskyi stated that the enemy lacks sufficient forces and means to launch a powerful offensive against Kharkiv, Sumy, Chernihiv and Kyiv region.

At the same time, the spokesperson for the Land Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Volodymyr Fitio, said that the northern border is constantly being reinforced and the number of enemy troops there is being monitored.
