Military man suspected of murder blew himself up with a grenade - media

During investigative actions in the Kirovohrad region, a military man suspected of murder blew himself up with a grenade.

The media learned about this from sources in law enforcement agencies.

“The incident happened on March 2. A corpse with a gunshot wound was found under a bridge near the village of Mizhkolyadne. During the investigative and operational actions, a serviceman of the Ukrainian Armed Forces was detained, who was suspected of committing this murder. Investigators determined that the crime was committed on February 26. The military man and his acquaintance were drinking alcohol, during which a conflict arose between them, during which the military man shot his acquaintance and threw his body under a bridge,” says the source.

After the arrest, the military man was taken to the bridge from which he threw the body to conduct investigative actions.

“During the inspection of the crime scene, the military man walked away from the guards and blew up an F-1 grenade, thus committing suicide. No law enforcement officers were injured,” says the source.

How the detainee ended up with a grenade at the time of the investigative actions is being clarified.
