Corruption in military enlistment office: in Odesa region, a serviceman "excused" from mobilisation
A TCC employee was selling “white” tickets.
After completing the pre-trial investigation, the State Bureau of Investigation sent to the court an indictment in the case of an employee of the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi RTRC and SP. He is suspected of “dissuading” men from mobilization. The press service of the State Bureau of Investigation reported this.
It was established that for an amount of 2 thousand US dollars the official provided “clients” with documents proving their unsuitability for military service, and for 3 thousand US dollars the men had the opportunity to be removed from the military register.
The SBI documented how a military registration and enlistment office employee received $7,000 for removing three people from the military register.
The official is currently suspended from his duties. He is accused of three counts of abuse of influence (Part 2 of Article 369-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The sanction of the article provides for punishment of up to 5 years in prison.
