The death toll from the Russian missile attack on Odesa on March 15 has risen again. On the morning of March 16, a rescue worker from the State Emergency Service, wounded the day before, died in the hospital.

This statement, according to media reports, was made by the deputy mayor of Odesa, Svitlana Bedreha. Her words are quoted , in particular, by the “We are Ukraine” TV channel.

“There are already 21 dead in Odesa,” Deputy Mayor Svitlana Bedreha. “This morning another rescuer died in the hospital,” the message says.

Bedreha confirmed the same information in a comment to Suspilne.

“Unfortunately, today there is another death, another death of one injured person, yesterday he was in extremely serious condition. We sympathize with the family, we sympathize with loved ones, we sympathize with all Odesa residents,” the deputy mayor noted.

“Suspilne” added that, according to Bedreha, there are currently “more than 50 injured from yesterday’s attack” in inpatient institutions in the city and region. She said that many are in serious or extremely serious condition, many are in intensive care.

“The numbers may change because outpatient care is provided and patients can come home, but there are other cases when a patient seeks outpatient care, but given his condition, he is hospitalized,” Bedrega emphasized.

The Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Ihor Klymenko also announced an increase in the number of victims.

“Today, another employee of the State Emergency Service, another victim of yesterday’s Russian strike on Odesa, died in the hospital from a serious injury,” the Minister of Internal Affairs was quoted as saying .

Klymenko estimated the number of victims at “more than 70.”
