On the night of Wednesday, April 24, Russian troops launched missile attacks on Kharkiv. Explosions were heard in the city, there were hits, and civilian infrastructure was damaged.

This was reported by the mayor of Kharkiv Ihor Terekhov and the head of the Kharkiv regional military administration Oleh Syniehubov . The Shevchenko district of the city was under fire.

“A targeted strike on a residential complex in the Shevchenko district. Information about the victims is being clarified,” Terekhov wrote.

Soon it became known that there were two casualties - both with shrapnel wounds. Search and rescue operations continued at the site.

Sinegubov noted that the enemy hit Kharkiv with two S-300 missiles. As a result of the attack, the glazing and exterior decoration of four apartment buildings were damaged.

Terekhov told Suspilne that as a result of the Russian strike, the gas pipeline was interrupted, and the services had to turn off the gas supply in the microdistrict that was hit by the missiles. “We will restore gas in the morning. Lately there have been chaotic shellings of Kharkov, mainly in residential areas of the city,” he noted.

In addition to Kharkiv, the Russians shelled the central part of Zolochiv, Bhgodukhovske district - they also launched two S-300 missiles at the village. Administrative premises there were damaged, but no casualties have been reported so far.

Speaker of the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office Dmytro Chubenko said that in Kharkiv, due to a missile hit, there was a residential complex:

▪️ About 30 cars were damaged.
