AFU explained whether occupants will be able to capture Chasiv Yar by 9 May
Russian troops have little chance of success in capturing Chasiv Yar in the Donetsk region before May 9.
This was stated by the deputy commander of the 2nd assault battalion of the 5th separate assault brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Oleksiy Tarasenko.
The Ukrainian fighter emphasized:
“Every day the enemy is trying to attack in all directions near Chasiv Yar, south of the city, along the highway, trying to completely capture the village of Ivanivske. Basically without advancing.”
According to the military man, the occupiers are putting pressure on the Ukrainian Armed Forces with infantry groups, sometimes using armored vehicles:
“Now the front line is relatively stable and the Ukrainian Armed Forces units do not have a single sector where the enemy managed to penetrate and significantly change our combat formation.”
