The occupiers continue to test the railway between Mariupol and Volnovakha. According to the adviser to the mayor of Mariupol, Petro Andryushchenko, the railway, which will connect Volnovakha with Rostov-on-Don through Mariupol, will start operating in late May or early June.

“In April and early May, three test trains were recorded from Volnovakha to Mariupol to the port and back. From Volnovakha they arrived with kaolin and ore, which were loaded onto a Liberian ship that was stolen last year. And from the Mariupol port the train turned out empty to protest rut," he noted.

According to the advisor to the mayor of Mariupol, the path that the Russians are building near the village of Granitne through the Telmanivskyi district, connecting Mariupol with Volnovakha and Rostov-on-Don, is almost completed.

“There are no rails on bridges and junctions of railways, they are just laying them. According to our estimates, this railway will start operating approximately at the end of May, beginning of June,” Andryushchenko noted.
