On May 9, Russian troops carried out more than 20 strikes on the Nikopol district of the Dnipropetrovsk region, in Nikopol two people were killed and eight were injured.
The head of the Dnipropetrovsk RMA, Serhiy Lysak, announced this in a Telegram .
“An extremely difficult day for the Nikopol region. From morning to evening there are continuous blows. Artillery, MLRS "Grad", kamikaze drones. In total, more than two dozen attacks,” the message says.
According to Lisak, Nikopol suffered the most from the shelling. Two people died and eight were injured in the city. Among them are girls 15 and 16 years old, they are in moderate condition.
In the city, 8 high-rise buildings and 25 private houses were damaged. The roofs of two houses caught fire. Also damaged were 16 outbuildings, greenhouses, almost 30 solar panels, power lines and gas pipelines.
A kindergarten, a fire station, a charity building, a bank, and shops were damaged. About ten vehicles were damaged, including a rescue vehicle and an ambulance.
Marhanetska, Pokrovska, Chervonohryhorivska and Myrivska communities also suffered from shelling. In the latter, a private house, an outbuilding and power lines were damaged, the head of the RMA informed.
