The National Security and Defence Council explained a new trap from the Russian army: “The enemy is simulating a large-scale offensive!”

The situation on the border of the Kharkiv region, where Russian occupation forces began their assault, is completely controlled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The National Security and Defence Council noted that the enemy is simulating a large-scale offensive.

At the same time, the Russian propaganda machine is trying to disperse panic. This was announced by the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Andriy Kovalenko.

“The situation is controlled by the Defence Forces. It looks like the enemy is imitating a large-scale offensive using limited forces and means, conducting reconnaissance in force. The Russians have losses in equipment and manpower,” the message says.

Kovalenko noted that this operation is accompanied by an information campaign by Russian military correspondents describing the movement of their forces inland for kilometers that are in fact fictitious. All this is happening to try to create panic and exploit the information vacuum.

“In some places the situation is complicated, but it is controlled by our troops,” added the head of the Center for Operations.
