Air defence forces have destroyed 13 "shaheds" used by Russia to attack Ukraine overnight

On the night of May 18, Russian troops attacked Ukraine with 13 kamikaze drones. During the night battle, the air defence forces destroyed all the martyrs.

This was announced by the Commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykola Oleshchuk. Enemy drones were destroyed over five regions of our state.

“On the night of May 18, 2024, the invaders attacked with 13 attack UAVs of the Shahed-131/136 type from the areas of Primorsko-Akhtarsk and Kursk (Russian Federation). As a result of the anti-aircraft battle, anti-aircraft missile units, mobile fire groups of the Air Force and the Defence Forces of Ukraine shot down all 13 “martyrs” in the Kharkiv, Poltava, Vinnytsia, Mykolaiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions,” noted Oleshchuk.

He thanked all the soldiers who fought the air battle at night and protected Ukrainians from threats from the sky, for their effective work.
