There are no invaders in Chasiv Yar, the defenders are holding the line

The Ukrainian Defense Forces confirmed that in the city of Chasiv Yar in the Bakhmut direction, for which fighting continues, as of Sunday, May 19, there are no occupiers. The defenders of Ukraine are holding the line.

The Telegram channel of the Black Swan strike group said that on the morning of May 19, the invaders made another attempt to break through the city’s defences, but were unsuccessful. The soldiers published footage of the destruction of enemy equipment near Chasiv Yar.

They noted that some of the armored vehicles were destroyed, some retreated back to the positions of the invaders.

In general, as noted, Russian troops have been trying to attack with armored groups of up to 20 units for the third day now.

At the same time, the Ministry of Internal Affairs also reported on the situation in the Bakhmut direction. They noted that this section of the front remains one of the hottest on the front.

“The occupiers are not giving up attempts to break through our defences. In the area of Chasiv Yar, which has become an outpost of fighters of the assault regiment “Luhansk” of the joint assault brigade of the National Police of Ukraine “Lyut”, together with their brothers-in-arms from the Armed Forces of Ukraine, our soldiers courageously defend their native land,” the Ministry of Internal Affairs said in a statement on Telegram.

The department emphasized that every day soldiers of the “Lyut” brigade fight for every meter of Ukrainian land, inflicting crushing losses on the occupiers.
