Zelenskyy in Berlin announced positive news on air defence for Ukraine
Ukraine will soon receive a third battery of Patriot air defence systems from Germany. In addition, additional systems may come from other countries.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke about this during a joint briefing with German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius. A fragment of the speech was shared by Presidential Speaker Serhiy Nykyforov on the social network Instagram .
In particular, Pistorius said that along with the additional Patriot battery, Berlin and its allies would transfer 100 ammunition for it. Moreover, 32 of them are already in Ukraine, and the rest will arrive in the coming weeks.
According to Zelenskyy, work on the transfer of additional systems is underway both with the United States and with “some European partners.”
“In the near future, we expect a positive result from our partners in the supply of 2-3 more air defense systems to Ukraine,” Zelenskyy said, but did not specify who will supply the remaining installations.
