Suspicious millions in the declaration of the deputy head of the Zakarpattia customs office Serhiy Duran

Serhiy Duran, deputy head of the Zakarpattia Customs Department, can claim to be the richest customs officer in Ukraine.

At least, that’s what his really impressive declaration makes us think, writes the TG channel Seredych.info .

So, in his electronic declaration, the employee indicated that his wife has a cache:

- 67 million hryvnia;

– 2.7 million euros;

– 2.15 million dollars.

The customs officer himself also has a lot of cash:

- 216 thousand dollars;

– 140 thousand euros.

The official explained to NAPC that he earned most of his funds even before entering the civil service, and received the other part of the funds as a gift from loved ones, but did not provide documents confirming this.

The declarant explained his wife’s millions by saying that they consisted of funds earned abroad, a gift from parents and the sale of property and personal savings from wages.

However, the NAPC found that the income of the wife and her parents for the years 1998-2022 did not allow the formation of savings in such amounts, and the difference between the declared assets and the size of the wife’s possible savings is more than UAH 272.6 million.
