Germany and Poland agreed to increase military assistance to Ukraine

Germany and Poland agreed to cooperate to increase military assistance to Ukraine. Based on the results of intergovernmental consultations in Warsaw, the “Polish-German Action Plan” was adopted.

In particular, both countries will take part in the creation of a joint NATO-Ukraine center for analysis, training and education in Bydgoszcz. Germany and Poland will also cooperate in international coalitions to support Ukraine, Ukrinform reports .

“We will seek opportunities for cooperation in every justified case and in every area of support offered, including the supply of weapons, training and services,” the publication quotes the document.

It notes that NATO will also support Ukraine in implementing necessary reforms on the path to future membership of the Alliance.

Separately, the parties agreed on cooperation at the government level to provide military support to Ukraine for the maintenance and repair of Leopard 2 tanks transferred to Ukraine.

“Poland and Germany will also strive to optimize the repair and maintenance of Leopard 2 tanks in the context of the needs of Ukraine that arose as a result of Russia’s powerless war of conquest,” the document notes.

Poland and Germany also advocate strict compliance with sanctions against Russia “and joint preparation of proposals for new restrictive measures until the Russian Federation stops its aggression against Ukraine.”
