Ukrzaliznytsia launches the first special children’s carriage

Starting from 8 August, the first children’s compartment car in the history of Ukrzaliznytsia will be running on the train No. 15/16 Kharkiv-Yasinya.

According to the UZ press service, ticket sales are already open.

The carriage is equipped in such a way that passengers from 0 to 8 years old and their parents feel comfortable, safe and interesting on the journey, notes UZ.

The carriage was designed in collaboration with UNICEF and with financial support from the Belgian government. It is planned to launch seven more cars by the end of the year.

The work on modernizing this carriage lasted about six months: it received a number of solutions that will make the journey of parents with children more comfortable - from playpens to changing tables in the toilet.

You can buy tickets for the children’s carriage only through the UZ mobile application (where it is marked "Children’s"). The ticket price is similar to the cost of compartment tickets of the same class on the same train.
