Situation at the front: During the day, 108 military clashes occurred

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this as of 22.00 on August 5, 2024 on Facebook .

“Since the beginning of the day, 108 military clashes have occurred, the enemy launched four missile strikes, using four missiles, 36 air strikes, using 43 air defense missiles, carried out 558 strikes with kamikaze drones and almost 3,400 attacks on the positions of our troops and populated areas using,” the message says.

In the Kharkiv sector, the occupants conducted four attacks near Tykhe and Vovchansk during the day. Ukrainian Armed Forces units successfully repelled three enemy assaults, and another firefight is ongoing. According to preliminary information, since the beginning of the day, enemy losses have amounted to 90 occupants killed and wounded, six artillery systems, an infantry fighting vehicle, 34 UAVs, three pieces of special equipment and a car were destroyed. In addition, six artillery systems, eight vehicles and three units of enemy special equipment were damaged.

In the Kupyansk sector, the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled three enemy attacks in the vicinity of Petropavlivka, Berestove and Stelmakhivka, another firefight is ongoing, and the situation is under control.

The enemy attacked eight times in the Liman sector, trying to advance towards the localities of Makiivka, Terny, Nevske and in the Serebryansky forest, and is currently fighting near Terny.

In the Siversk sector, our defenders repelled ten enemy assaults in the areas of Ivan-Daryivka, Verkhnekamianske, Pereyizne and Vyymka. A firefight is still ongoing in one location.

In the Kramatorsk sector, 11 combat engagements took place. The occupants were active in the area of Chasovyi Yar and Ivanivske, six enemy attempts to push us from our positions failed, and five attacks are ongoing. The situation is under control.

With the support of aviation, the enemy tried 23 times to break into our defences in the Toretsk sector. During the day, the occupants attacked the positions of Ukrainian defenders near the settlements of Pivnichne, Toretsk and New York. 15 attacks were repelled, eight attacks are still ongoing.

In the Pokrovsk sector, 24 enemy offensives and assaults have been repelled in the areas of Panteleymonivka, Novooleksandrivka, Vozdvyzhenka, Ivanivka, Zhelanne, Novoselivka Persha and Yasnobrodivka since the beginning of the day. Another seven combat engagements are ongoing. Our troops are taking measures to hold the designated lines. The enemy’s losses, as of today, amount to more than 150 killed and wounded occupants, and Ukrainian troops destroyed two artillery systems, two armoured personnel carriers, three UAVs, two vehicles and three special vehicles. In addition, two armoured personnel carriers, two vehicles and three enemy artillery systems were damaged.

There are five combat engagements in the Kurakhove sector as of this time of day. The invaders remain active, trying to advance in the areas of Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka and Kostiantynivka. The Defence Forces units are currently repelling two occupants’ attacks, three attacks have already ended without success for the enemy.

In the Vremivsk sector, two firefights took place in the direction of Vodiane and Rozdolne. All enemy assaults were stifled.

In the Orikhivsk direction, our troops repelled one enemy attack in the direction of Robotyno, the enemy was unsuccessful.

In the Prydniprovsky sector, our troops successfully repelled five enemy attacks on our positions.
