In the Kursk region, since the beginning of the Ukrainian military’s presence, there have been no cases of improper treatment of civilians. Meanwhile, locals try not to touch them, and sometimes even ask for simple human requests. A video of a conversation between Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers and two pensioners was posted on the Kursant Telegram channel.
In one of the settlements in Kursk region, Ukrainian defenders met two grandmothers on the road and asked if they were being bullied. To which the pensioners answered "no".
The grandmothers approached the fighters and asked if they could give them a ride because their "legs hurt." The fighters were forced to refuse, explaining that there was no room in the car.
Moreover, local grandmothers spoke Ukrainian.
"Even though I’m not Ukrainian, I speak Ukrainian," said one of the pensioners.
