There are people under the rubble in Poltava, we are doing everything to save them, - Zelenskyy
The Russian army struck a training center in Poltava with two ballistic missiles. People are still under the rubble.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this during his evening address.
Zelenskyy said he had already received preliminary reports on the Russian strike on Poltava. Preliminary data indicate that the Russians used two ballistic missiles.
"Unfortunately, there are numerous victims. It is known that there are people under the ruins of the destroyed building. Everything possible is being done to save more lives. According to available information, this Russian strike took the lives of 51 people," Zelenskyy noted.
The President stressed that law enforcement agencies and the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine are investigating all the details of this tragedy.
"The air raid siren was sounding. Everything else - every detail - must be established and verified during the investigation," he added.
