The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine is developing a functionality that will help automate the process of issuing subpoenas.

This was announced by the head of the Information Technology Department of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, Oleh Berestovyi, in the DOU Podcast.

«How does the process of issuing subpoenas currently work? They write them by hand, print them out, and then a stack of papers goes to the head of the TRC, who must sign them, stamp them, and then deliver the subpoenas. This is an inefficient process. So, we have created a functionality that allows generating a subpoena in the «Oberih» registry, signing it with the electronic signature of the TRC head, and not even printing it directly at the TRC. It will be immediately sent for centralized printing, from there to "Ukrposhta", which will ensure delivery, and we will have information on where the subpoena is: whether it was delivered or not, if it got lost, how long the delivery took, and so on», explains Oleh Berestovyi.

According to him, the process will become transparent, and «this will allow the military-political leadership to receive more relevant information than is currently available».

«To understand the «funnel», at what stage we are and what needs to be resolved to expand the «funnel» at the end», emphasizes Oleh Berestovyi.

And adds:

«When you sign this subpoena with an electronic signature, there will be no incorrectness; you must be sure that you were not sent a phishing attack or something similar, and that your TRC actually signed this subpoena. Therefore, in "Reserve+", there will be a function: using a QR scanner, it will be possible to check whether the head of the TRC really signed this subpoena, whether it is legal, valid, legitimate, and that it was not signed by others on the way to the bus stop. This is a functionality that will help protect the person who is subject to military service».

Also, Oleh Berestovyi once again emphasized that there will be no subpoenas in "Reserve+".

«We do not plan this. Our backlog is scheduled until mid-spring — there are no subpoenas there. But we plan to develop functionality to at least slightly automate and civilize the process of issuing subpoenas using "Ukrposhta" and some automated processes on the backend», summarized the head of the IT Department of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.
