Zelenskyy held a meeting with Erdogan and invited him to Ukraine
During an official visit to the United States of America, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. During the meeting, the parties discussed further development of the strategic partnership between Ukraine and Turkey, in particular, issues of trade, investments, and the participation of Turkish companies in the reconstruction of our country.
An important issue was also the implementation of the Peace Formula and ensuring freedom of navigation in the Black Sea. Erdogan also received an invitation to visit Ukraine. The details of the meeting were revealed by Zelenskyy himself.
According to him, the main topic of the meeting with President Erdogan of Turkey was the further strengthening of the strategic partnership between the two countries.
"We focused on increasing bilateral trade, investments, and economic cooperation, as well as the participation of Turkish companies in the restoration of Ukraine," noted the head of state.
Additionally, Zelenskyy and Erdogan discussed the implementation of Ukraine’s Peace Formula, especially emphasizing the point whose fulfillment depends significantly on Turkey.
"We discussed the implementation of the Peace Formula with a special focus on ensuring freedom of navigation in the Black Sea and Turkey’s leading role in the corresponding point of the Formula," stressed the Ukrainian president.
