On October 1, specialists of "Energoatom" successfully connected a power unit of one of the nuclear power plants to the grid after completing scheduled preventative maintenance.

Thanks to the coordinated work of the nuclear engineers, the repair was completed 12 days ahead of schedule, which allowed the Ukrainian power system to be strengthened by 1000 MW after the unit reached full capacity.

The head of "Energoatom," Petro Kotin, emphasized that the company is making every effort to prepare the power units for the heating season by reloading them with fresh nuclear fuel.

He noted that the maintenance campaign is nearing completion and all nine units located in the territory under Ukraine’s control will be ready to operate during the most challenging months of the autumn-winter period.

Kotin thanked the team for their high-quality work, which is being completed ahead of schedule, ensuring the stability of the power system during critical periods.
