In Kupyansk, there is not a single surviving house left, — Kanashevych

There are no intact houses left in the city of Kupyansk in the Kharkiv region. This was stated by the head of the district military administration, Andriy Kanashyevych, during a telethon broadcast.

He reported that there are no longer any intact buildings in the city.

"At the very least - there are no windows. There is damage to the roofs and walls," the official noted, adding that this is not the same Kupyansk as it was after de-occupation two years ago.

According to him, constant massive shelling by Russian forces prevents the elimination of the consequences previously caused by the occupiers.

Despite the fact that maintaining the city’s livelihood is becoming increasingly difficult each day, communal services are trying to restore electricity and gas as quickly as possible, and there is water, the district leader noted.

Despite the declared mandatory evacuation, people still remain in the city. Before the Russian invasion, the population of Kupyansk was 27,000 people; now, according to Kanashyevych, about 3,000 people still live on the right bank of the city.

In turn, the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office reports that on October 3rd, the enemy shelled Kupiansk multiple times. As a result of the shelling that took place around 9:40, an educational institution building was damaged. Approximately at 12:30, the enemy struck the city with an FAB-250 bomb with a UMPK module. A residential apartment building was damaged.

Also, at approximately 15:00, the Russian Armed Forces hit Kupyansk with a drone, striking a bus stop. Two civilians were injured - a 44-year-old man and a 16-year-old girl. They were hospitalized.
