In the territory of the Toretsk community in the Donetsk region, where shelling and intense fighting continue, there remains a civilian population that does not want to leave their home.

This was reported by Vasyl Chynchyk, head of the Toretsk City Military Administration.

According to him, 10 to 20 people leave the community every day, but this mostly happens after an escalation in shelling.

"As of today, there are about 1,200 civilians remaining in the community. In most cases, they hide in shelters, basements and do not want to leave the boundaries of the community," he noted.

Chynchyk added that not a single building in Toretsk has remained intact, the city is completely destroyed, and logistics are complicated.
