TRC conduct raids in clubs and at concerts across Ukraine
On the night of October 11-12, patrol police and representatives of the Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Centers conducted raids in Ukrainian cities. It was discovered that the TRC staff and the police were checking men’s documents.
Checks took place in nightclubs and other venues in major cities, eyewitnesses report online. In Kyiv, a raid occurred after a concert by the popular Ukrainian rock band "Okean Elzy" – directly at the Sports Palace and nearby.
The purpose of the raid was to identify conscripts with outdated data, as well as individuals whose documents were suspicious or missing. Such individuals were detained and sent to the TRC.
Other conscripts were issued summonses on the spot and allowed to return home.
A similar raid took place in Khmelnytskyi, where TRC staff and local law enforcement also checked documents only of men who were in entertainment and leisure places.
Reports of TRC raids in popular nightclubs in Kharkiv and Dnipro also surfaced, where document checks were conducted.
In the western part of the country, similar reports came from Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, and other cities.
There have been no official statements regarding the raids from law enforcement authorities and TRC representatives yet. However, according to the law, during martial law, the police have the right to ask conscripts for documents confirming their identity and military registration status.
For their part, even non-mobilized conscripts must carry documents when in public places.
