The controversial blogger Spartak Subbota commented on Ruslan Khanumak’s departure to the United States

Ukrainian blogger Spartak Subbota, who successfully promoted his personal brand as a qualified psychologist, publicly commented on the departure of director and actor Ruslan Khanumak from Ukraine. He expressed his opinion on his Instagram page.

At one time, Spartak Subbota created a successful image of a psychotherapist working on internet platforms. However, in 2023, he was involved in a scandal—psychologist Illia Poludenniy accused him of forgery and called him a fraud. By August 2024, information appeared online that the psychologist had left Ukraine for Spain, where he sought to obtain refugee status. Spartak himself does not comment on this information.

However, when responding to subscribers’ questions, he commented on the departure of director and actor Ruslan Khanumak, who in July 2024 reported that he had left for the USA.

In response to the question: "What is your opinion about Khanumak as a draft dodger, refugee, and traitor?" Spartak wrote: "And he is also: a father, a reliable friend, a professional in his field, a person with a stance and willpower. Anyone can be portrayed in a way that benefits the critic. To be a draft dodger, you need to receive a summons. As far as I know, he is not subject to conscription. And even if he were, societal value standards are not that close to me."

Subbota also added that there are many hypocrites everywhere, all claiming to be saints, and those who disagree are called enemies of the people. He added that he has never personally seen Ruslan Khanumak, but the more he is attacked, the more he likes him.

"No one will massively criticize insignificance," Subbota added.

It should be noted that after Ruslan Khanumak announced that he is now in the USA with his son and is not ashamed of it, he disappeared from social networks. Khanumak then mentioned that he has asthma, which grants him a deferment from the army. However, he later deleted this post. By September, his ex-wife Alina Shamanska, who lived with their son in the USA, returned to Kyiv. However, Ruslan Khanumak has not been in contact since then. Where the director is currently located is unknown.
