The court arrested the organizer of the scheme for making money from draft dodgers at the Odesa MSEC

The court decided to detain for two months the organizer of the scheme for establishing fictitious disability for conscripts at the Odesa Regional MSEC.

This was reported by the State Bureau of Investigation.

As stated by the SBI’s press service, the suspect has the option to post bail amounting to 10 million UAH.

Previously, SBI employees detained a doctor from the "Odesa Regional Clinical Hospital," who involved 12 doctors from different institutions in the city and officials from the Odesa Regional Medical-Social Expert Center, providing "paid services" to evade conscription.

The doctors fabricated diagnoses for healthy men and produced the necessary medical documentation to confirm the "medical history." Then the conscripts, with a package of prepared documents, went to the MSEC, where they were met by "prepared" commission members for disability group registration. The cost of services ranged from $6,000 to $12,000, depending on the complexity of the diagnosis and the desired disability group.

The issue of notifying other participants in the scheme of suspicion is under consideration. The article’s sanction provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for up to 10 years.
