Ukrainian air defence shot down almost four dozen enemy UAVs overnight
This night, Russian invaders conducted air strikes on Ukraine using missiles and combat drones. Thanks to the forces and means of the Air Defence of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, almost four dozen enemy UAVs were shot down over 9 regions.
This information is reported by the Telegram channel of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
It is indicated that on the night of November 6, the Russian army launched 2 guided aviation missiles Kh-59 and Kh-31P for strikes on the Odesa region. The launch was carried out from the Black Sea area.
In addition, the enemy launched a total of 63 Shahed strike drones and UAVs of an unknown type across Ukraine. The launch took place from the directions of Bryansk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Orel (in Russia), and Chauda (occupied Crimea).
To repel the Russian air attack, the following were involved:
- anti-aircraft missile troops,
- aviation,
- electronic warfare units,
- mobile fire groups of the Air Force and Defence Forces of Ukraine.
The Air Force Command stated that as of 07:30, 38 enemy UAVs had been confirmed shot down over the territories of nine regions, namely:
- in Odesa,
- Mykolaiv,
- Kyiv,
- Sumy,
- Kirovohrad,
- Zhytomyr,
- Cherkasy,
- Chernihiv,
- Zaporizhzhya regions.
The military added that 20 enemy drones were locally lost in various regions of Ukraine. In addition, 2 more Russian UAVs are still in the airspace of the country, and the work of the Air Defence is continuing.
