The occupiers shelled Sumy at night: there are fatalities

The information was reported with a reference to the acting mayor of Sumy Artem Kobzar.

He noted that on the night of November 22, "several powerful explosions" occurred in Sumy.

The body of a deceased person was found at the site of one of the explosions.

"The State Emergency Service, ambulance, and police are working on site," Kobzar added in a video.

Later he reported that at the site of the second explosion in Sumy, another deceased person was found.

"A headquarters for eliminating the aftermath of the emergency situation has been deployed," he said and clarified that further information about the location will be provided later.

Additionally, the acting mayor of Sumy mentioned that due to the constant threat of "Shahed" attacks, air defense work is ongoing in the city. He urged local residents to stay away from windows.

As reported by the Sumy Regional Military Administration (SumRMA), Russian terrorists attacked a residential neighborhood in the city of Sumy with "Shaheds" this night.

"Preliminary reports indicate casualties. Necessary assistance is being provided to the people, and emergency and rescue operations are underway. The consequences of the Russian attack are being clarified," the administration reported.

Later, the RMA clarified that, according to preliminary data, the Russian army attack on the residential area in Sumy resulted in 2 deaths and 10 people being injured to varying degrees of severity.
