RF attack on Ternopil: the occupiers damaged the electrical infrastructure

In Ternopil, after a nighttime strike on the energy infrastructure by Russian occupiers, work is underway to restore electricity and water supply. The city is reactivating heating points.

This is reported with reference to the Telegram channel of the head of the Council of Defence Staff of the Ternopil region, Serhiy Nadal.

It is reported that as a result of the enemy strike using kamikaze drones, the "electric infrastructure powering Ternopil was damaged."

"Energy workers are gradually restoring the city’s electricity supply. We hope this happens as soon as possible," Nadal’s statement reads.

Employees of the municipal enterprise "Ternopilvodokanal" are gradually restoring centralized water supply in the city.

The head of the Defence Council of Ternopil region notes that there might be low pressure. He also added that generators will be launched in the city.

Regarding the heating supply, most boiler houses are operational. According to Nadal, if necessary, "the operation of the boiler houses will also be supported by generators."

Schools and kindergartens in Ternopil will operate as usual today.

"Those without centralized electricity supply will operate with generators," Nadal stated.

Trolleybuses will not temporarily operate in Ternopil. They will be replaced by buses.

"Large buses will operate instead of trolleybus No. 11, and the maximum number of vehicles will run on other routes," Nadal reported.

Heating Points

Heating points will reopen in Ternopil. They will operate from 08:00 at the following addresses:

• 8 Mykola Lysenko St. - Ternopil City Territorial Center for Social Services (providing social services),
• 45 Zluky Ave. - ME "Ternopil Center for Leisure and Youth Initiatives named after Dovzhenko",
• 1 Pryvokzal Square - Ternopil station terminal,
• 11 Fedkovych St. - MI "Children and Youth Plast Center".
