Verkhovna Rada simplified military registration: 17-year-old boys can register online without a medical commission

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine supported in the first reading a bill that allows 17-year-old boys to register for military service online without mandatory medical examinations. This initiative is aimed at simplifying the process of youth registration in conditions of martial law.

This was reported by Deputy Head of the Office of the President Iryna Vereshchuk.

Information about conscripts will be automatically transmitted to the Unified State Register of Persons Liable for Military Service through integrated state databases.

At the same time, the assessment of health and fitness for service can be conducted based on electronic medical data without mandatory laboratory or physical examinations. These decisions are made within the framework of an experimental project approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Resolution No. 932
