Russians focused on the capture of Velyka Novosilka, – military

The head of the communications department of the 48th separate artillery brigade, Bohdan Petrenko, emphasized that the enemy is trying to disrupt the communication routes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area of Velyka Novosilka.

He stated this on the air of the "Espreso" TV channel.

"The Russians have several tactical tasks on the Vremivka direction, which are to disrupt the communication lines, supply lines that lead to our eastern comrades who are defending Ukraine from the east, that is, in the Kurakhove direction. At the moment, Russian forces are focused on attempting to capture Velyka Novosilka," Petrenko noted.

According to the head of the communications department of the 48th separate artillery brigade, after the Defence Forces repelled the Russians from Novyi Komar, there was a certain decrease in intensity, which was related to the preparation of enemy reserves, as the Russians are losing offensive potential thanks to the actions of our defenders, who are destroying the enemy and not allowing them to advance.

"However, unfortunately, the Russians have large reserves. They are pulling them up and continuing their assaults. Today we see such assaults occurring both to the south of Velyka Novosilka and to the north, which are attempts to disrupt the communication channels leading to the garrisons in the settlement of Velyka Novosilka," Petrenko added.
