"Busification" by the TRC is gradually becoming a thing of the past, - Lubinets
The number of cases of force used by TRC employees during mobilization is decreasing. The so-called "busification" is gradually becoming a thing of the past.
This became known from a statement by Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets.
Lubinets explained that his Office closely responds to all complaints from citizens regarding illegal actions by TRC employees.
He emphasized that in certain cases, his decisions have led to the initiation of both criminal and disciplinary proceedings. In some cases, this even resulted in disciplinary actions against guilty employees.
The Ombudsman reported that during this year, the Office received more than 4,000 appeals about possible violations during mobilization.
At the same time, he stressed that the practice of forcible detention, referred to as "busification," is gradually becoming a thing of the past.
"In my opinion, the situation in Ukraine, compared to the previous year, has slightly worsened, but not drastically. We are seeing fewer and fewer cases of physical ’busification.’ That’s what we call it. Somewhere, it is already understood that this approach does not work. However, there are still some facts of violations of the rights of Ukrainian citizens during mobilization," said Lubinets.
