In Ukraine, the phase of testing drones on fiber optics has been completed

“Leading the list is the Black Widow Web 10 project drone - a kamikaze on fiber optic. This drone can cover over 5 km and deliver approximately 2 kilograms of payload. The developers of this project have received NATO codes not only for this direction but for the entire series of UAV solutions,” the report says.

Commenting on the successes of the Innovation Activity Management of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the head of the department, Colonel Vitaliy Dobryanskyi, noted that an important task was accomplished — overcoming enemy EW means when using drones.

This is not just a new weapon sample — it is a window of opportunity for further research and development in the field of fiber optic communication.

Robotics and unmanned technologies have received a new development direction.

“FPV drones with this technology are becoming a significant problem for the enemy on the line of armed conflict,” added the General Staff.
