Due to the actions of the State Bureau of Investigation, the operation of the air defence unit in the Odesa region has been obstructed, - AFU

According to Navy Lieutenant Colonel Andriy Smirnov, the blocking of the air defense unit’s operations in the Odesa region occurred due to the actions of the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI).

Smyrnov claims that on November 5, law enforcement agencies seized explosive material that was being transported for FPV drones. These drones are necessary for destroying Russian reconnaissance drones, which actively correct ballistic strikes on Odesa.

According to him, he had all the necessary documents on hand, but the ammunition was seized anyway, hindering the unit’s ability to perform its tasks.

The SBI reported that a pre-trial investigation is underway regarding the appropriation of ammunition by servicemen. The SBI also noted that in November, "active armor with TNT" was found with a serviceman at a checkpoint. The SBI states that the explosives were being transported in violation of safety requirements and without the necessary permit documentation.
