Russian naval logistics in occupied Crimea has been effectively destroyed - Navy
Russian naval logistics to support the grouping in Crimea is now virtually destroyed.
This was reported by the spokesperson of the Ukrainian Navy, Dmytro Pletenchuk, during a TV broadcast, in response to a question regarding the losses of the Russian Black Sea Fleet this year.
«The quantitative indicator is important, but the qualitative one is even more significant. I am not referring directly to the ships Russia has lost, but to the important stages that we can now consider completed. One of these stages is that the Russians have left Crimea - in terms of the Russian Black Sea Fleet. Another challenging stage was the actual destruction of Russian naval logistics to support the grouping in Crimea», he stated.
Another important stage, according to the spokesperson, is that the Sea of Azov has been virtually freed from the presence of Russian combat units.
«In reality, this is far from everything we have achieved. But in any case, we are confidently moving forward, this year has been quite challenging for us, but even more challenging for the Russians in the Azov-Black Sea region. Now they understand perfectly well that even the eastern coast of the Sea of Azov, even the Krasnodar Krai, is no longer a zone of confident security for the Russians, and we have proven this. They are forced to take this into account, which, of course, significantly complicates their activities», Pletenchuk noted.
He explained that this gives the Ukrainian Navy the opportunity to plan their future operations considering these achievements, which they are doing.
