Attack by occupiers on the capital on January 1: the building of the National Union of Writers of Ukraine was damaged
As a result of the Russian attack on January 1st, a building of historical and architectural significance in Kyiv, the office of the National Writers’ Union of Ukraine, was damaged.
This was reported by a member of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine, Yuriy Doroshenko.
"As a result of the shelling by the Muscovites, a monument of history and architecture was damaged - the building of our National Writers’ Union of Ukraine... Russian barbarians and savages!" wrote Doroshenko.
According to him, writers who were war veterans such as Andriy Malyshko, Volodymyr Sosyura, Oles Honchar, Pavlo Zahrebelnyi, and others, who fought against Nazism during World War II, once worked in this building.
"Now the House of Writers has been destroyed by criminal rashism. But Putin’s Russia will have to answer for everything, as happened with Hitler’s Germany!" added Doroshenko.
