In the Khmelnytskyi region, a border guard shot a commander who had beaten him

In one of the military units in the Khmelnytskyi region, a border guard shot his commander.

This is stated in the decision of the Yarmolynetskyi Court of the Khmelnytskyi region.

According to the document, the incident took place almost a year ago. The border guard reported that the commander, in a state of severe intoxication, beat him and his comrade, threatening to kill and bury them. On February 6, 2024, the accused went on duty, receiving a gun and ammunition. He developed an obsessive idea of the need to shoot the colonel. He carried out his plan in the dining hall and did not resist arrest.

Also, according to reports, after the incident, the suspect feigned a mental disorder — as determined by the doctors who examined him.

The court found the border guard guilty of intentional murder and sentenced him to 12 years in prison.
