Former commander of the 155th brigade, Colonel Ryumshyn, who was detained, is suspected of inaction that led to massive AWOL by subordinates, reports the prosecutor’s office.

According to the investigation, he did not report deserters to law enforcement during training in the EU and while on the front in Donbas. Some of the subordinates periodically illegally left their posts and then voluntarily returned, "feeling impunity for such actions."

Information about corruption in the brigade is also being checked concerning the selection of military personnel for training abroad and evasion of service.
