At night, Russia launched 140 "Shaheds": the downing of 85 drones has been confirmed

On the night of February 12 to 13, Russia launched an attack on Ukraine, deploying 140 Shahed-type drones and imitation drones. The drones attacked from five different directions.

This incident was reported on the Telegram channel of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).

The attack was launched from the directions of the Russian cities of Orel, Kursk, Bryansk, Shatalovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk.

To repel the attack, the following were involved:

• aviation;
• anti-aircraft missile troops;
• electronic warfare units;
• mobile fire teams of the Air Force and Defense Forces of Ukraine.

As of 9 am, the downing of 85 Shahed-type drones and other types was confirmed in the Kharkiv, Sumy, Cherkasy, Poltava, Chernihiv, Kirovohrad regions, and several others.

Another 52 imitation drones were lost without negative consequences.

As a result of the attack, the Odesa and Kharkiv regions were affected.
