Ukrainians were urged not to be swayed by emotional swings: Ukraine’s interests come first

The head of the President’s Office, Andriy Yermak, commenting on the statements that have appeared online in recent days, urged Ukrainians to remain calm. He emphasized that the interests of Ukraine are above all.

Stay calm and do not succumb to emotional fluctuations. The interests of Ukraine are above all, that is and will be the case. And Russia, with its war and dreams of occupying Ukraine, will encounter a wall, including an economic one,

The Communications Adviser to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Dariya Zarivna, noted that the USA is currently filling the information space with various theses and narratives, keeping everyone, especially Russia, in suspense. She noted that this is a diplomatic move so that Moscow does not believe it can win.

The head of the Center for Countering Disinformation, Andriy Kovalenko, commenting on the recent US statements, drew attention to the fact that such actions demonstrate strategic unpredictability in diplomacy. He believes that the USA consciously avoids clearly defined positions on certain issues to maintain flexibility, retain the initiative, and influence the behavior of other "actors."

This allows creating space for maneuvering, preventing predictability of actions, and forcing the opponent to consider different scenarios. Such an approach can be useful in deterring the adversary, maintaining strategic balance, or forming coalitions,

The Center for Countering Disinformation added that "a very complex strategic game is underway." Kovalenko emphasized that the USA is opposing Russia and China, and Ukraine is within the sphere of strategic interests of the USA.

"From promises to threats – the USA continues its diplomatic game of strategic unpredictability. Apparently, Russia will not be able to win this game in any way," – Kovalenko concluded.
