The Russian Federation claimed an invasion in the Sumy region: the CCD denied it

Vladimir Putin stated that the Russian army allegedly crossed the border in the Kursk region and began an offensive in the Sumy region.

The head of the Center for Countering Disinformation, Andriy Kovalenko, refuted these claims. According to him, a Russian sabotage and reconnaissance group attempted to break through the border but was destroyed, and there is no threat of a large-scale offensive in this direction.

Meanwhile, Russian military channels claim that Russian troops are attacking from the village of Sverdlikine towards Novenke and Basove, attempting to cut off the road to Sudzha.

There is currently no objective confirmation of the advancement of Russian forces in this area. The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine also does not confirm the entry of enemy forces into the Sumy region.
