The first tranche of the UK loan to Ukraine will arrive next week

The first tranche within the UK loan totaling £2.26 billion is expected to arrive in Ukraine next week.

This was reported on the UK government’s website.

"The loan will be entirely directed towards military procurement to strengthen Ukraine’s defence capability, with the first tranche expected to be provided to Ukraine next week," stated the UK government.

It is noted that the loan will be provided in three equal annual payments of £752 million each.

The funding is envisioned in three equal annual payments of £752 million each.

The funds are part of the Extraordinary Revenue Acceleration for Ukraine (ERA) mechanism of the G7 countries, with a total volume of $50 billion USD. The loan will be serviced and repaid from future profits derived from frozen Russian sovereign assets.
